Today, a new China is emerging. The country has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is now one of Sandvik’s largest markets. Sharply rising consumption and large export revenues form the basis for success. Sandvik has been established in China since 1985. Sandvik's market in Greater China comprises mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2009, Sandvik China had sales of CNY 4.4 billion, more than 1,800 employees, 25 sales offices and ten production sites.
